How fun is this? Take one coffee table. Add pink paint. Do some vibrant pink highlights. And then add chalkboard paint to the top. Hours of fun awaits!!!

Pink Wash Stand
I found this piece at a church yard sale. It had seen better days. Poor thing had been left out in the rain which left it with a cracked and warped top and a door off its hinges. So I restored it. Sort of. In my world, furniture is vibrant and alive. And, in this case, pink. With a dash of purple and turquoise thrown in.
Small Pink Table
I found this small table at a roadside yard sale. It had seen better days, including time spent with wallpaper attached. Okay. Maybe that wasn't a better day. The wallpaper was awful. But I sanded it all down and primed it up, then added some bright pink paint. A few swirls, some stripes and polka dots and this little wood table has found on a new life!

Pink Bling Table
This sweet table shows what can happen when we don't give up on the usefulness of an old piece.
I dug the base -- an old stool with metal at the top and wood legs that were uneven -- out of someone's trash pile. My Dad evened the legs for me and I painted the metal black and the rest different shades of pink. I added a round top, securing it with screws to the metal.
Of course, this piece needed a little extra to show how special it is. So I got out the hot glue gun and went to work. It's just adorable!
This would make a perfect bedside table for a young girl or anyone who just wants a little bling in her life.
Twin Tables
These two tables were rescued from a trash pile at the side of the road. Seriously. Someone else saw them as trash. I saw them as merely needing a little love and a whole lot of paint. Just look at how pretty they are now!
Pink Desk and Chair
This desk was not a welcome sight. The shop was packed and I didn't see how I could fit even one more piece inside it. But I did. And, eventually, I added a chair and painted it all pink. Seriously pink. It's now found a home at The Dandy Lion Boutique in downtown Enterprise.
Bright Green Table
I love putting together different elements to make something useful and fun. This table top began it's life as one of those pull-out drawers you find in kitchens. The legs came home with me from an auction several years ago. I just never found the right place for them -- until now.
Funky Bookcase
This old wood bookcase has been in the workshop for what seems like forever. I told my Dad is was his. He said it was mine. Truthfully, neither one of us wanted to claim it because it was just so quirky. The bottom shelf, for example, has three different boards that are three different sizes. I finally took pity on the poor bookcase. I painted it glossy black and added pink highlights, accenting the quirkiness. It's just fun! I know it's going to find a wonderful home.
Sunflower
I just completed this beautiful Sunflower for a friend. The back is an old cabinet door that I painted a vibrant pink. I drew all the pieces onto thin plywood and cut them out individually on a bandsaw. I like doing each piece separately because no two are ever exactly alike. I then put several coats of paint on each piece, sanding in between each coat. I use wood glue to slowly layer the pieces together.
Pink Chair for Dolly
I found two little chairs at an auction quite some time ago. I kept moving them aside as I completed orders and other things. They kept beckoning me. I finally decided the poor little chairs had suffered their brown stain long enough. I painted this one fuschia. The other is purple. Now they're ready for a tea party!

This snazzy cat is ready to party! The old wood frame just adds to the sparkle.
Pink Bedroom Furniture
This furniture started life as basic white. It's amazing what a little color will do! I added white flowers, all of which were individually cut out using a bandsaw. I love the effect of the white flowers and the yellow centers.
Daisy on Blue
Spring is coming!
The request came a few weeks before Christmas. A friend wanted me to create a daisy painting for a mutual friend of ours. I was thrilled. It was fun to think that I would have a painting in Sue's sewing room, a place where she loves to be.
I should note that Laurel had seen a daisy painting on facebook and wante to buy it. This was months ago. It was already sold. I planned to create more but, well, I got busy with other orders and never got around to it. Laurel's request got me in gear.
These paintings are so much fun to create. First, I find a piece of scrap wood. I don't want anything too perfect. Somehow that just takes away from it. Then I draw the petals, center and leaves out on scrap wood. I use a bandsaw to cut them out. I paint them all and then slowly glue the layers until I have a beautiful flower.
Of course, I couldn't create just one. I wanted Laurel to have a choice. The flower she'd originally seen had a green background so I had to do one of those. I know Sue loves blue (and this is the one Laurel chose) so I had to create one in blue. The pink one is because I think fuschia is such a happy color.
Daisy n' Pink

Pink is such a vibrant color. I think it just makes this simple, white daisy pop. Don't you agree?

I found this cute round desk at a thrift store. My Dad made this chair one day as a surprise for me. YEAH! The design was such fun!
