Table and Chair Set

This table and chair set is just so much fun. Most of you know how much I love to paint fish. They're just happy!!! And colorful! You've got to have a little color in your life!!!

Both pieces are solid wood and quite sturdy. The little chair was an oak piece I picked up at an antique store. It's just so much more inviting now than when it was basic brown. The same is true of the table. Vibrant color inspires us to be what we once could only imagine.

Bright Green Chair

This odd chair arrived looking forlorn and out of sorts. It had seen better days. The finish was scraped and there were a few signs of doggie teeth. But the details were amazing! It had such potential!

So I painted it green. Then I came back and put another shade of green over that one, creating depth and a vibrant color.

The details took quite a bit longer. I'd work on it awhile, then switch to something else. But the time was worth it.

I also tried using bright yellow tape around the bottom rungs of the chair. It was okay but I doubt it's something I'll be doing a lot of. I mostly just wanted to see what all the rage is about. Now I know.

This chair would be a wonderful accent piece or desk chair. Personally, I would include it with other unique chairs and make a wonderful statement in a dining room.

Pink Desk and Chair

This desk was not a welcome sight. The shop was packed and I didn't see how I could fit even one more piece inside it. But I did. And, eventually, I added a chair and painted it all pink. Seriously pink. It's now found a home at The Dandy Lion Boutique in downtown Enterprise.

Turquoise Desk

This desk came from a church. It once presided over Sunday school classes. Of course, back then it was painted a flat white.

I added a really sweet chair but it needed a little sparkle. A few polka dots, some swirls, stripes and highlights worked were perfect.

Tiny Little Chair

This tiny little chair is the perfect size for a "first" chair.

Purple Chair for Dolly

This is for the purple girls in your life!

Pink Chair for Dolly

I found two little chairs at an auction quite some time ago. I kept moving them aside as I completed orders and other things. They kept beckoning me. I finally decided the poor little chairs had suffered their brown stain long enough. I painted this one fuschia. The other is purple. Now they're ready for a tea party!

Vibrant Desk and Chair

I found this desk at a yard sale months and months ago. It was painted gold. Seriously. I think it was once a computer desk because the drawer is suitable for a computer keyboard. It was in good condition so I shoved it in the van and took it home.

Naturally, I added a little color to the piece. Fuschia, yellow, green, orange, turquoise ... those colors are vibrant and happy! The desk needed a chair and I had the perfect one. It was once brown. Not anymore. It's happy, too!
