The general manager was ready to trash this table and chair set and buy a new one. I convinced him that it just needed freshening up. Years of wear from a gazillion children had left marks and chipped paint.
I had to stagger the work. Two chairs came home first. I sanded and repainted those, adding plenty of varnish at the end. Then two more chairs. Last came the table. It took longer because of the design. Then it rained and, frankly, varnish doesn't dry when it's humid. Finally, the finished product arrived back at the dealership.
The kids seem to really love it. It's bright and colorful and durable. A good combination for everyone. The general manager likes it too.
