A few days ago a sweet little girl noticed the cross necklace that I wear most days. I used the moment as an opportunity to tell her how Jesus welcomed the little children to Him and how very much He loves her. I realize she's too young to really understand but I believe it's never too early to plant the seeds of faith and love in her heart.
I always wear a cross necklace when I leave home. I find myself fingering it through the day, whether I'm driving or at church or just running errands. It reminds me of how much Jesus loves me and what He has done for me. Each time my fingers touch the worn silver, I remember that I am never alone. He walks with me and guides my every moment.
I painted this cross on a piece of scrap wood because He was on my mind.
